Artificial Dye Manufacturers Sue to Strike Down West Virginia’s Dye Bans

They certainly have the right to sue, but this shift to natural colors is not solely the result of the new MAHA rules.
If you look at what Walmart executives said last week after announcing their decision to remove synthetic dyes and more than 30 other ingredients from their private label products, you’ll see that it was in response to consumer demand.
A 2025 customer survey by them found that 62% of Walmart shoppers wanted more transparency around what was in their food, and 54% said they reviewed food ingredients.
The timing of the announcement is no coincidence; it has significant PR value. However, the important thing is that many consumers are already trying to avoid buying products made with artificial dyes.
Not to mention that their bettergoods line made $500 million in the first year.
We have some great news to announce on this topic in the coming weeks.
That’s it for this week.
